Aloha Managers and Coaches,
We’re gearing up for the 7th Annual Mayor’s Cup Senior Softball Tournament! We’re very pleased to announce that the lava flow in East Hawaii has subsided which means there are CLEAR BLUE skies in Kailua-Kona! We were worried about having to play in unsafe conditions with thick vog hovering over Kona daily and briefly considered moving the tournament to Hilo. Now that we no longer need to worry, let’s get you all registered to play!
This year, registration and payment will take place online. If you prefer to write a check instead of paying via credit card online, you must call me, and I will register you over the phone. We will not be accepting paper registration this year. Please go here to register: https://give.classy.org/mcsoftball
Once your team registration is complete (and check payment is received in office), I’ll send a Team Roster link to each of you. This link will need to be sent to all your players via email. If you have a player who does not have an email address, the player must call me, so I can register them over the phone as well. Once your rosters have been filled, I’ll forward each of you your completed rosters. Please note each team may not exceed 15 players.
Lastly, guests will now be required to purchase tickets to attend the Mahalo and Awards Reception. This was not an easy decision to be made, but necessary regarding rising expenses for this event over the years. Discounted pre-purchase tickets will be available on the Team Roster link. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door.
Dates to remember:
- Team Registration Deadline: Wednesday, November 21, 2018, the day before Thanksgiving!
- Player Registration Deadline: Friday, January 11, 2019
For those of you who have been participating in the Mayor’s Cup Senior Softball Tournament over the years, you’ve probably noticed how much we’ve grown and are evolving! Because of this, here’s some things to remember:
- We are eliminating paper registration. Please encourage your players to check their emails to get on your rosters!
- We will eventually be moving away from accepting checks for registration, please be prepared to make purchases on-line in the future!
I will eventually have the Team Registration and Guest Tickets up on the website, but until then, please shoot me an email if you misplace the link and I’ll get it to you right away! If you have any questions regarding registering your team or players, please feel free to call or email me!
